Ricks bird houses are 16 inches high. The nesting box & the roof are constructed out of pine and coated with linseed oil then stained or painted. Then covered with spar urethane. Opening & box were researched and compatible with sparrows, wrens, chickadees and bluebirds. A hinged opening in the back allows cleaning yearly. Each character is hand carved out of bass wood and receives the same coating as the box and roof.
